DJapan by CGEYE: Rooftop Rain Session

A solitary DJ on a Tokyo rooftop in the rain. Green and pink neon, a blue hour that turns into late night, and a set nobody came to watch. Two minutes and fourteen seconds.

No camera, no location, no cast

Every frame of this film was created from scratch by CGEYE, with AI, on Seedance 2.5, and finished in 4K. There was no camera, no location and no cast. The score is original too, composed for the film, and the cut lands on its bars.

What is human here is the direction: what enters the frame, where the camera goes, and what stays out. Twelve shots, each with a camera move chosen before a single image was generated. The tool produces the frame; deciding which frame deserves to exist is still on us.

Why a music clip

DJapan started as a locked-off ambient film. When Seedance 2.5 began to hold intentional camera movement, the same universe asked for another format: a short clip with an arc, where the rain, the neon and the character move together. This is the result.
