Product story

The CGEYE NFC Card started with a simple question: how does a digital file carry the weight of a physical object? We tested polymer, aluminum and titanium before landing on PVD-coated stainless steel. It won't scratch, bend or corrode. The NTAG215 chip is the same standard used by European institutions to tag physical pieces. Each card is laser-engraved with an individual serial number, linked to the artwork's full-resolution page and to the provenance metadata recorded at generation time, built C2PA-ready, the standard the industry is converging on to prove where content came from. You are not just buying an object. You are buying a physical point of contact with the work it authenticates.

Frequently asked questions

Which smartphones work with the NFC card?
Any iPhone running iOS 13 or later (from iPhone 7 onwards) and any Android 8+ device with NFC enabled. Reading is native — no app required.
Do I need internet to use the card?
Yes, on the first read your phone accesses the link stored in the chip to load the artwork and provenance metadata. After the first read, the art is cached locally in the browser.
Is the NFC card secure?
Yes. The NTAG215 chip is programmed in read-only mode with password protection: it's impossible to overwrite or counterfeit the content. The artwork's provenance is recorded in the metadata linked to the card, ready for verification under the C2PA standard.
How does the artwork's provenance work?
Each artwork linked to the card carries generation metadata and a provenance record in the link sent after purchase, built C2PA-ready. We do not issue blockchain certificates. The record stays in CGEYE's custody and can be checked at any time through the card's link.
Can I resell the card?
Yes. The physical card is yours and can be resold freely, like any collectible object. There is no automatic royalty or smart contract involved. If you resell it, let us know so we can update the provenance record for the new owner.
What's the return policy?
Brazil's Consumer Defense Code guarantees 7 calendar days for returns without reason (online purchases). The product must be returned unused and in original packaging. See our full policy at /termos.
